LRT ride

Mummy: We have decided to go our house nearby that shopping mall cos we had nowhere to go. Hubby asked me if I want to take lrt there, I was feeling very lazy to take lrt there, but was thinking it's been sometime Chloe took lrt. So I asked if she wants to take lrt train, and she nodded her head. Ok.. we shall take lrt then.

I passed my Ezlink card to Chloe and let her scan. Surprisingly she knows where to scan the card. Curious Chloe was looking around at the surroundings and the people. And she seems so happy taking the lrt ride. We had KFC for dinner and Chloe asked me for chicken. Normally she don't eat chicken, only KFC chicken, maybe because it's fried. And not forgetting the cheese fries and whip potato. After that we went to go some shopping at Fuhua and Kiddy Palace.

It's 9pm+ and I told hubby it's time to go back home since Chloe still needs to go to school tomorrow. And once again I passed the card to Chloe and let her do the scanning. When we alighted from the lrt, I passed my card to Chloe again and reminded her not to drop the card on the floor, I was so scared she would dropped the card into the gap between the platform and the lift. I was looking down at the gap when suddenly I realised she put her hands at the lift door! But it was too late for me to remove her hands from the lift door. OUCH! The door opened and suddenly closed cos her right hand was stuck when the door is opening. Hubby was still asking me how come the lift door abit faulty, until he heard Chloe's cries and asked me what happen. I was too stunned and shock to say anything. But seeing Chloe's response and cries, I think it wasn't that painful. I was so scared her finger will break and torn into pieces, but luckily she only suffer a minor cut on her right middle finger and the skin came off.

I really blamed myself for this incident. I feel so glad her finger was ok. Really scared the hell out of me.

Winnie The Pooh Coloring Set

Mummy: This morning Chloe woke up and said she wanna watch Hi-5. I asked her if she wanna watch cartoons and luckily KidsCentral is showing Sesame Street. But her favourite character is Elmo so she kept asking me where is Elmo. At around 11, she ask me where is Pooh Bear Bear? Erm, don't tell me she's refering to the coloring set. I show her all the Pooh bear related stuffs she had at home but she kept saying no. Opps, then she must be refering to the coloring set.

It's been a week and then now she suddenly can recalled. End up I manage to distract her with something else. PHEW!

Hello Kitty Doctor Play Set

Mummy: I kept the Hello Kitty Doctor Play Set in the storeroom so that Chloe won't pester me to say she want to open and play. Since she had some new toys recently, I'm thinking of keeping the Doctor Play Set as long as possible until 1 day I feel that it's time for her to play a new toy.
And I kept the Crayola Winnie the pooh coloring set high up in the wardrobe.

But who knows today when she woke up, she asked me where is the Hello Kitty? I act blur and then she said Hello Kitty Hello Kitty. Gosh, seems like she remembers and knows that we bought it. Had no choice but to take out and let her play.

See how happy she is.
Hmmm.. how do I open this box?
Finally can open...

Great Singapore Sale 2007

GSS has just started yesterday and Daddy is eager to go down to Taka for shopping. These are what he got for me:
- 2 Burberry tops (there's less 30% off so Daddy decided to buy and stockup for CNY2008. KS Daddy! The tops are quite unisex right? Cos Daddy say next time can pass down to didi)

- Hello Kitty Doctor Play Set
(Didn't want to get toy for Chloe cos recently we bought quite a number of toys for her. But she wanted us to get for her and it's because she overheard a conversation between a little gal and her mummy. The little gal cried and wanted her mummy to buy some Hello Kitty toys for her, so the mummy gave in and asked the little gal to choose one. After hearing this, Chloe also perform the same stunt. :| Chloe chose the refrigerator set but hubby said it's some kitchen related toys again. Maybe we should get something different for her this time. So I let Chloe choose between this doctor play set and the play house set. And she chose the doctor play set.)

- Crayola Winnie The Pooh Coloring set
(Bought this for Chloe and was thinking I will tell her that didi bought it for her. There's actually some old wives tales saying the younger one need to buy something for the older one so that the older one will treat the younger one better. I'm planning to give Chloe this Winnie the Pooh coloring set when she get to see didi for the very first time @ hospital. But hubby said he don't intend to bring Chloe to the hospital unless he got no choice. Think nevermind, I will just find a chance to give it to Chloe and said it's from didi.)

Only 0.9m and need a ticket?

Something which I saw, last time at the gantry of the lrt/mrt, they will put up a notice/stand saying something like, "If you are above 0.9m, you need to purchase a ticket." I never really bother with it until I had Chloe. Chloe is now standing at 0.9m tall and I find that it's ridiculous for me to purchase a ticket for her since she's only 2yrs old. Anyway recently I noticed they changed their notice/stand. "If you are above 0.9m and above 7yrs old, you need to purchase a ticket." Hope I'm seeing the right thing.

Me & Rachel

Mummy: This week hubby is working afternoon shift so I have to go and fetch Chloe on my own. And then I realised Chloe had a very good close friend at the childcare... Rachel.

Monday
Bump onto Rachel's mummy when I reach childcare. Since we are staying just opposite block of each other, we walked home together. Chloe and Rachel hold their hands together and walked home together. They looked so cute! And after that they went to the playground and play together.

Tuesday
I was very late today and Chloe was the last kid at the childcare. When I reach the childcare, Chloe's teacher was asking Chloe, "How come today your daddy and mummy so late still haven't come to fetch you?" I saw Chloe standing at the gate, looking out.

Wednesday
Saw Rachel and Rachel's mummy walking back home while I'm on my way to the childcare. When I reach the childcare, I was surprised to see Rachel and her mummy standing outside the childcare. I asked Rachel's mummy, how come they are still around, cos I saw them walking back home earlier on. Rachel's mummy said on the way home, Rachel said she wanted to wait for Chloe to walk home together, and she insist walking back to childcare to wait for Chloe. So sweet of Rachel. And then both of them hold hands together and walked to the playground and play for like 15mins before we proceed to our own home.

Cranky Chloe

Mummy: Chloe has been very cranky these 2 days when I bring her to the childcare. Not sure if it's because she can sense that her little brother is arriving soon or it's because from my outfit she knows that I'm not going to work. Yesterday she wanted me to carry her when we are on the way to the childcare. I told her just a short while only, she nodded her head.

For today, huby drove us to the childcare as it's raining and I told hubby to go to work and no need to send me back cos I scare rainy day tend to have traffic jam, don't want him to be late for work. Anyway it's just a very short distance. When we got down from the car, Chloe wanted me to carry her again. As usual, I carried a short distance and we reached the childcare, I put her down and her took off her shoes and walked into the gate. Happened that her friend, Weicong was there and he refused to step into the childcare and was crying. Chloe looked at him and suddenly breakdown, "I want Mama...". I carried her again and asked her what happen. She only kept repeating, "I want Mama..." I told her, "Mama is sick, need to go home and rest. You stay here at school ok?" Then she wanted to come down, walked back into the gate and cried. I said bye and waved at her, she waved back, still crying.

Independent on Toilet Training

Mummy: Chloe is independent on toilet training now. Either she informed me that she want to "xu xu" then I will accompany her to toilet, she will take off her panties and pants on her own and wear them back after she finish "xu xu". OR she will just make her way to the toilet, take the potty, take off her panties and pants and do her "small business". These past weeks we saved quite a lot on diapers. But when we go out, I still put on diapers for her.

One of these days when we go to our parents' place I shall try not to put on diaper for her. As for full-time diaper-less, I guess got to wait till I delivered and recovered. If not it's quite troublesome for me to carry her and rush to toilet with my current big tummy.

No more fever

Mummy: No more fever these days but I can see that Chloe feels very tired. I know medicine will make her drowsy, but I didn't feed her with medicine and yet she can nap once in the morning and afternoon and maybe late evening. Now that she has recovered, she pestered me and ask me to give her medicine. "Mama I want me-di-cine." I told her she got no fever so no need to eat medicine, but she said she want to eat. :| Then I got to think of some alternatives to distract her.

Fever Day 4

Mummy: I need to go back to work, but I just cannot set my mind at ease leaving Chloe with hubby. Cos I know Chloe sure cry for me when she woke up and realised I'm not around. So I asked my boss if I can work from home for the rest of the days until Chloe's fever has subside. My boss gave me the permission so I quickly finish some of my work and then took a cab home.

When I reached home, Chloe saw me and of cos was very delighted. She said, "Mama come back.. hehe". She still has slight fever but at least it's 38deg only. She saw me with a packet of food and she said she wanted to eat rice. I gave her some little rice, knowing she won't be able to finish so much. End up she asked for more and more. I'm happy to see that her appetite is coming back so I just continue to give her somemore, the most later I still can find other things to eat.

At the end of the day, her fever has really subsided, finally! But I don't plan to let her go childcare so fast, wanted to let her rest more.

Fever Day 3

Mummy: Chloe is still running a fever at 38.7deg and her appetite is still as poor. Her teacher from childcare, Teacher Wu called and asked what happen to Chloe. I told Teacher Wu, Chloe is running a fever hence I did not send her to childcare, I tried to call the childcare earlier on but no one picked up my call. She asked if it's HMFD, I said so far no signs of spots. Then she told me today there's 2 HFMD cases and 2 suspected cases. I'm worried and hopefully for Chloe's case is not HFMD.

During lunchtime, she ask for egg, I quickly went to boil 2 eggs for her, she had 3 mouths and tell me she don't want to eat anymore.

At around evening time, we brought her back to the clinic, saying Chloe still had fever and if it's possible for us to get another day of MC. The nurse gave us another day of MC but said if Chloe still had fever by then we got to bring her back to see the doctor.

It's 9pm and I took the temperature again for Chloe. It's 39.7deg! I thought after having fever for so many days the fever should be more or less gone but how come it still shoot up? I suggested going back to the clinic since they closed at 11pm but hubby said he rather go down to KK children's emergency. We fed Chloe with paracetamol and sponge her with cold water. At 10.10pm, her temperature is still 39+, so we head down to KK.

It's our 1st time @ KKH Children's emergency. We have to go to the main entrance there and let the nurse check before we need to register, and then wait to see doctor. The consultation fees is $75 flat. Chloe was given priority as the nurse said her temperature is 38.5deg and we fed her with paracetamol 1hr ago. We waited for less than 30mins and went into Room 11 for consultation. Doctor said Chloe has some red spots at her back and she's not sure if it's HMFD. She asked us to go back and followup with a GP/Polyclinic in 2 days' time to check on the rashes.

And she prescribed 2 bottles of paracetamol. As it's our first time there, we din know these are considered standard medicine and it's include in the consultation fees. Just now the doctor wanted to give Chloe some flu syrup but I told her no need as we still have at home. Argh, should have taken it.

Fever strikes back!

Mummy: We had late dinner at geylang smelly tofu stall after the movie. I was too hungry until I can't really eat, only share a bowl of porridge with Chloe. On the way back home, I can feel that Chloe's body temperature has raised again. She fell asleep on the way back home. When she reach home, the fever really strikes her. Feed her with paracetamol, gave her some milk and she's asleep again.

Brought chloe to see doctor once she woke up. Doctor say it's viral fever, no signs of HFMD but it might be a little early to tell if it's HFMD so we got to monitor her. Doctor gave us MC for tomorrow (Monday).

After that went to Mac for breakfast, ordered a Hotcakes Happy Meal for Chloe but she din want to eat. End up I got to finish up her Happy Meal for her. We went home after the breakfast and fed her with some milk and medicine.

I noticed that she do get a shock during her sleep. And this makes her can't sleep well. But there's nothing I can do but to stay by her side and pat her whenever I saw her "jumped" during her sleep.

During evening time, I asked if she wanna eat anything, she said no, dun want. Ask if she want to drink water, she wants. Gave her some water, and end up she vomit out the water. Whenever she had a sip of water, she went to vomit. My poor gal! She rejected food, milk and water now. I applied some oil on her tummy, maybe there's wind in her stomach. After applying she immediately fart. True enough, there's wind in her stomach.

Her fever had no signs of going back to normal temperature, still at 38+ deg. If tomorrow it's still like that, I will have to take urgent leave.

Spiderman-3

Mummy: Today we planned to bring Chloe to watch SpiderMan-3 @ Cineleisure this evening. My friend gave us 1 free complimentary ticket so we only need to buy 1 additional ticket. We were afraid we had to purchase a ticket for Chloe cos her height is almost 90cm. Got to try our luck.

It's 4pm and we woke up from our nap and prepared to go out. I felt that Chloe's body is abit warmer than normal, quickly took a thermometer and measured her temp, it's 37.6deg. We fed her with the paracetamol and later on she started to be cranky. I was telling hubby why not he go ahead and watch the movie with his friends, then I stayed at home and look after Chloe. Hubby said he rather waste 2 tickets if I plan to stay at home. At around 4:45pm, Chloe pestered and said she wanna go gai gai. And took a set of clothes from her wardrobe. She seems ok and her temperature is back to normal, so we went ahead with our movie plans.

I had a very bad experience when I brought Chloe for movie the very first time. We were watching King Kong that time and she was cranky and wanted to sleep. We only managed to get peace when she's asleep. So this time round, I'm still worried that she can't sit still throughout the show.

Showtime! We bought popcorn and drinks, and Chloe sat on hubby's lap. She sit until very straight up (very good posture) and she's really watching the movie. She was busy watching the movie and eating popcorn at the same time. She was making comments during the show, "Uncle pain pain (when she see those fighting scenes and someone fell onto the floor etc.) Halfway the show, she wanted to sit on my lap. Then after that she told me, "Mama I want to xu xu". I told her she's wearing diapers and she can just pee but she refused. Luckily I brought sweets for her and managed to coax her. :P

After this time of experience, I think I will dare to bring her out for movies. :D
