CNY 2006 - Day 3

Today is my first birthday! Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Today we are going to Aunty Jinmei's house and 3rd Yi Po house to bai nian. Aunty Jinmei and Aunty Meow were suppose to come our house and bai nian. But Aunty Jinmei was saying that she's getting married soon and it will be the last year she celebrated CNY at sengkang so she invited us to go her house.

So we went to Aunty Jinmei's place and as usual there's photo taking session. Halfway through the photo taking session we heard a loud bang. Car accident! We quickly dashed to the window and kpo. Saw a bus and a car stopped at the junction of the road. The passengers of the bus alighted from the bus and stand at the pavement. Not sure whose at fault, can't tell also. Anyway after that we continued our photo taking session and make our way to Compass Point for lunch.




After we had our lunch, we made our way to 3rd Yi Po house. I did nothing much there. See Daddy & Mummy playing poker with the uncles, then took a nap. 3rd Yi Po prepared Yu Sheng for us to LAO1! But I was too young to lao, they never give me warning and started to shout. I got a scare and cried. :(

CNY 2006 - Day 2

Today we are going to grandma's place (Mummy's mum place) to bai nian. No plans after that, so Daddy and Mummy decided to go Marina Square and walk walk. Surprisingly, alot of people are there too. How come they din go bai nian? So weird.

CNY 2006 - Day 1

This is my 2nd CNY. But sad to say, I will be turning to "3yrs old". :(
This is because based on lunar calendar, I became 1 yr old when I was born, then every CNY will "earn" another yr. Since this is my 2nd CNY, I will be 3yrs old.

Although it's my 2nd CNY, this is the first time I'm going out to "bai nian" and collect angpows. Firstly would be going to grandma house which is Daddy's mum place. Quite disappointing cos grandma said we are not going to any of the relative's place cos grandpa is not feeling well. So after a short while we made our way to great-grandma (Mummy's grandma place) and hang around there till at night.

My First Birthday Celebration

Grandma said have to celebrate my first birthday based on lunar calendar. So Daddy & Mummy decided to hold it on the 21st January 2006. Many of the relatives didn't turn up for my birthday celebration cos they are either busy preparing for CNY or they need to work. :( I really appreciate Mummy for decorating up the house for my birthday party. She was busy until she forgot to tie up my hair and quickly anyhow tie :P
