Welcome to Chloe's Blog. This blog is specially created and dedicated to Chloe. Hope she will appreciate my effort and thoughts I've put in for this blog when she grow up!
Mummy: I can tell that Chloe is very happy today. I think because it's her birthday and we are celebrating it at her school for her. Teacher Julie told us to reach the childcare around 3.30pm to 3.45pm but end up we are early, the kids are still taking their afternoon nap. So we waited for the kids to wake up 1 by 1. Some are still in a daze, day dreaming away. Teacher Julie didn't inform Chloe that we have reached, she woke her up and changed her into her home clothes, tied up her hair and bring her out of her classroom. Then Chloe saw us and gave us a big surprise smile. Upon seeing the cake, she gave us a big smile and said “my birthday”.
Chloe's classmates came out from the classmates and take turns to wash their hands. I took out the barney party hats and asked Chloe to distribute to her classmates. After that the kids lined up to go into the classroom. A small table and chair has been setup in the room and of cos that seat belongs to Chloe. Snap a few photos and after that proceed with birthday song and blowing candles. While her classmates are singing the birthday song to her, Chloe was smiling and have the awkward look, think she’s feeling shy and paiseh.
There are some shapes deco at the sides of the cake and Chloe wants to give Xiaohui a star. Well, she treat Xiaohui as her best friend. Some kids asked for second helping, I just cut a small piece and pass it to them. And what do you expect from kids? The floor has cake “crumbs” abit here and there. The teachers got to clean up the floor after they finished eating.
After that we brought Chloe home, and decided to drop by Nicole's place to pass the goodie bags to her kids. We went for dinner after that and went to childcare to fetch Schuyler. There’s a surprise waiting for Chloe at home. :)
Mummy: This year we decided to hold Chloe's birthday at her childcare. Bought quite a number of stuffs for the goodie bags. From stationary to snacks. Each goodie bag cost me around $2.. and I need to prepare 18 of them. Chloe also helped to pack the goodies into the goodies bag. She's feeling quite excited about her birthday celebration tomorrow. Told her I will be bringing the cake to her school and celebrate her birthday at school.
All done! Packed the goodie bag into 2 big paper bags and will bring to her school tomorrow.
Mummy: Told Chloe that Thursday is her birthday and I will go to school in the afternoon with birthday cake, and take photo together, must smile. She said must smile, cannot sad. And showed me the expressions.
Mummy: I have the habit of leaving the main door open but locked when I reach home. Chloe was playing with lego at the playmat. I told her I'm bringing Schuyler to the room. She replied me, "Mummy, can you close the door for me? I scared later ant ant come in." She's refering to the main door at living room and her ant ant refers to ant and insects etc. I assured her by saying if there's an ant coming in, let me know and I will settle for her.
I wanted to order cakes from Ecreative as they have quite nice designs and I heard their cake is very nice. But end up I din order from them cos I only need 1 or 1.5kg and they don’t really have nice designs for 1 and 1.5kg ones.
Like these 2 designs but they come in 2kg which is far too much. Teacher Julie told me to order 1kg, I thought of ordering 1.5kg so the teachers can eat as well. End up I just ordered cake from Bengawan Solo, under baby looney tunes range. This is actually what Chloe has chosen. So she must be feeling happy. :P
Mummy: Bought gift wrappers and quickly wrapped up Chloe's birthday gift. Hubby said no need to wrap but I still feel that it's a gift, it will look nicer if we wrapped it up.
Mummy: Chloe is aware that her birthday is just around the corner. Could be the teachers who are reminding her. So these few days she is having rehearsal to sing Happy Birthday song.
Mummy: I wonder what did Chloe do with her Tweety Bird, it has a broken leg. Maybe the threads are not sewed well, or maybe the culprit is Chloe. No choice got to bring to my mum's place to see if she can help to sew back the leg.
Mummy: I'm not sure where Chloe learn all these from as Teacher Julie told me they don't really teach them how to write. But it's pretty interesting to get to know that she knows all these...
Mummy: Asked Chloe to keep an eye on Schuyler as he's on walker and the fan is on, he might have the tendency to keep his fingers into the fan. Chloe told me "OK!". And I quickly went to the kitchen to prepare Chloe's water bottle, milk powder and milk bottle to bring to school. When I got back to the room, I realised the fan is off. I asked Chloe why she off the fan. She said, "Wait 弟弟 hand put inside and later pain then blood come out. So I off it."
Didn't expect Chloe to think of that, to off the fan. I thought she will really keep an eye on Schuyler to make sure he won't put his fingers into the fan. Kids, sometimes they really surprise you with the things they do.
Mummy: Out of sudden, Chloe mentioned she want ah ma to come our house. I asked her which ah ma and she said 外婆, repeated herself a few times and she broke down in tears. I told her 外婆 need to work tomorrow and she's asleep at this time so I can't call her up to tell her about it. Then she nodded her head. I told her I will call 外婆 the next day to tell her about it.
Mummy: Bought a Tweety bird soft toy for Chloe to replace her old, smelly Hippo. As the Hippo soft toy is not a common soft toy, it's very hard to get an identical one. After persuading her for a few times, she's willing to replace Hippo with Tweety Bird.
Introducing her Tweety bird: She dressed up her Tweety Bird in Barney party wear: Before she sleep, she was asking for her Hippo. I told her Daddy had thrown it away since we already bought Tweety Bird for her. And then she cuddled the Tweety Bird and fell asleep after that.
Mummy: Finally gotten this table and chairs set from Ikea. We were deciding between the wooden type and the plastic type. Wooden one is definitely much more cheaper as it cost $45, consisting of a table and 2 chairs. For the plastic one, the table itself already costs $49, 1 chair cost $19. End up we just bear with the $ and bought the plastic one. Cos I think it's easier to maintain as it can be cleaned with GIF and don't think wood one can clean with GIF?
Presenting our new furniture.... I believed Chloe will love it alot. She can do all her colouring and writing on a proper table now. :)
Mummy: I asked Chloe if she wants to bring biscuits to school for breakfast. She nodded her head and said yes. I gave her one packet and she asked "Can I have some more? I want to share with my friends." I was pretty shocked that she still thought of her friends. Of cos I was willing to give her another packet. At the end of the day, I realised the biscuits are still in her bag, untouched.
Mummy: Teacher Julie said Chloe can write the letter 'A' without the help of dotted lines. I'm proud of her as she's the only one in her class who can do that. And for Mathematics, there's 2 sad and 2 happy faces. They were told to colour 1 sad face and 1 happy face. Chloe can take the instructions and coloured 1 sad face and 1 happy face. The rest just colour all of the faces. Well done Chloe!
Mummy: I asked Chloe if she wants to xu xu (pee) and she replied me. "Not xu xu, is pass urine. Later Teacher Julie scold you." I asked her how about ng ng (poo). She said, "Pass motion." Good for Chloe cos this means she is listening and remembered what Teacher Julie has taught her.
Mummy: Chloe claims to have fever. Hubby told her if she have fever then she can't drink milk anymore. She immediately said, "Now I don't have fever, I finished drinking milk then will have fever." Faint mannn.. what kind of excuse is this?
